The September 17 Great Pumpkin Festival will have a Green Vehicle exhibit. We’re looking for 6-8 privately owned vehicles whose owners are willing to show them from 11AM to 4PM. For safety reasons, they should not be started or driven during that time.

Please contact Town Planner Bob Ericson (rericson@nsmithfieldri.org) if you are interested in participating. This will also be a good time to compare notes with other owners.

Conventional truck:

Hybrid cars:

2010-11 Honda Insight EX 7-speed: 42 mpg

Electric cars:
2011 Nissan Leaf:  99 mpg equivalent
Classic cars ahead of their time:
1962 Ford Falcon (Mobilgas Economy Run winner)
1961-70 VW Beetle
1975-76: VW Scirocco or Rabbit
1991-94 Nissan Sentra: 32 mpg

Bicycle:
Any recumbent 2-3 wheel with a wind fairing
Electric bicycle or scooter
